Chef Academy
This is a true collaboration with the internal expertise of our Chef Directors helping to shape a programme of experiential learning, underpinned by the quality technical and academic development that only our partners at HIT training. Our Chef Academy team is fully supported by Chef Mentors from around the business too, so it does add up to something unique.

Supervisory Academy
This programme is designed for Supervisors & Assistant Managers who are looking to progress their career in Management & Leadership. It’s also open to competent team members (in hotels and central teams) who can be given additional supervisory responsibilities as part of their role while on the programme.

Management Plus
This programme is designed for Heads of Department in our hotels. It’s designed to help with progression into broader or more senior roles in our business.

Leadership Plus
This programme is designed for Deputy General Managers and People Managers in Central Support Teams. It’s designed to support upward progression into more senior roles in our business as they become available. These programmes put Inclusion at their heart. With additional content in this area delivered by our in-house L&D team and bespoke, funded attendance at workshops facilitated by the Executive Development Network. In addition, they are all mapped to an official apprenticeship qualification in partnership with ITC.

Check in to ER
A one-day course which has been run in all hotels for the hiring managers – where they get a good understanding of all things ER related and how best to deal with situations.

Check in to Management
This two-day programme welcomes our newly promoted managers and externally hired managers to our business and their roles. It's designed to equip you with a range of skills and tools to make the best start to your management career with us.

Wine Academy
The MHDV Wine Academy is where we take interested teams through a process of wine education and assessments, including One- and Four- Day programmes covering job-specific skills in wine, from service to brand standards, suppliers and events, with the opportunity to gain a WSET Level 2 qualification.

Recruit Like a Boss
A one-day course which we currently run for our Hiring Managers – to ensure they have all the information, knowledge and skills to help support the company recruitment which will, in turn, provide the candidate with a great recruitment experience.
